I definitely have Spring fever!!!!!
Check out the make up I did this week. Even though there's still snow outside I know Spring is almost here......I wanted to create a look that was blooming with color. I went for a very fresh dewy approach. Really the skin is the key! Ashley has beautiful skin, but everyone needs a little help under the eyes. I like to lightly layer under the eyes to carefully lighten the area rather than spackle tons of concealer to hide the darkness I also used Benefit Cosmetics High beam luminescent complexion enhancer at the temples, top of the cheekbones, and under the browbone to create that beautiful sheen that the skin naturally gets when it's warm. And luscious lips in mouthwatering colors finish off the look. A look that's as easy to create as it is beautiful!

Beautiful Girls!!!! Three totally different girls, same approach......
First I perfected the skin. Starting with a moisturizing spray (I've been using Caudalie Grape water) moisturizer always absorbs more quickly and evenly if the skin is moist. Then take care of undereye darkness. This will determine whether to use foundation or not and how much coverage you'll need. Cheeks are next I like to layer a powder over a cream for better wear as well as a more multidimensional look. For the brows I simply perfect what already exisits and fill in only if there is a gap in the line of the brow. Although the eye shadow colors I used are very different the pattern for all three girls is similar. Light at the inner corner, bright on lid, and a little contour at the outer corners of the eyes. FInish with a generous application of mascara. and lips sty light or bright. Perfect looks for Spring blossomy and fresh...... I love before and afters........This is Jemma from the shoot I just did with Eliesa Johnson. Granted a great photographer using a professional camera helps alot, but as I always say the right product applied skillfully makes a world of difference. For this shoot perfect skin was the focus so I really took my time making the girls look flawless. I applied Sephora's Light Touch Highlighter to pre lighten the undereye area, then I perfected the skin using Smashbox Camera Ready Full Coverage Foundation, and then made everything flawless lightly layering Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer. And those lips! Makeup For Ever Aqua Lip in 17c . The perfect bright shade and it's waterproof so it lasts and lasts......
What I LOVE about working with Eliesa Johnson is she's wonderful at concepting the shoot with everyone involved. The beauty of coming prepared is that you have a starting point. Somewhere concrete where you can jump off the cliff into the pool of creative chaos where fashion and beauty happen. Eliesa kept the light bright and clean and really focused on mood and attitude.
As for me I really worked on skin, making it perfect, almost taking everything away to give one then the other girl a look of other worldliness. I kept the focus simple lips and only on one girl at a time. By the way don't put that bright red lipstick away anytime soon............can't wait to see the finished shots! |
Have a question just ask me.....
