I am in Seattle this week, and the weather here is only slightly better than Minneapolis (It actually snowed here today!). But I know spring is coming, and even though I don't see it out of the window I can create it in the mirror. Here are some must-haves to try while we wait for the weather to warm up and the snow to melt.

Most secrets are to be kept, but this is one secret I absolutely need to share. Laura Mercier’s Secret Camouflage is a makeup artist's dream. The two-tone concealer camouflages all sorts of imperfections, creating a flawless complexion. It’s magic is no wonder: it was created by a makeup artist who attended painting school. I had never met Joy Teiken before attending her "Joynoelle Amusements in three parts" event on Wednesday night at Aria. After meeting her and seeing her work, I believe her first name is indicative of her approach to life and design. The ready to wear collection was as sublime as it was intricate. Joy’s choice of subtle, muted shades truly emphasized the workmanship of each hand-crafted piece. I kept thinking to myself: not only could I wear that, but I would wear that! |
