I am working in studio all week here in Miami. Yesterday the air conditioner was not working.....did I panic? no way, I have worked in the Miami heat for the last 12 years. I can share my secret for making make up last and believe me it has nothing to do with expensive products and everything to do with how you apply.
First prepare the skin and use a primer. I know you are going to say "is a primer necessary" and I have to say it does make a difference in how foundation goes on and wears through out the day. Stay away from primers that are too slippery. Next try a tinted moisturizer to perfect your skin or a liquid foundation if you need more coverage. The most important thing is to make sure the color melts into your skin. It has to be a perfect match.. For cheeks and lips use a stain. It will last longer and look more natural if you start to glow (perspire). And for eyes use a cream shadow as a base and then layer a powder over it. Even though it seems a bit more time consuming I promise it will extend the wear of any shadow as well as give it more depth. Here are some of my favorite products for summer: Sonia Kashuk Tinted Moisturizer, Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks, Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner
